Microwave Healthy Beans and green gram (dal) dry curry

Healthy and tasty Beans and green gram(dal)  dry curry It is a very simple and tasty side dish with rice or roti. For this recipe we need green gram and beens and some spices and little oil. Here Ingredients  i have taken small cup of green gram,100g of beans. For tempering   a pinch of mustard and cumin seeds. For spice 1 green chilli and little amount of ginger(make it like paste) and for taste little salt .Liitle amount of water for cooking.

Sweet,tangy and spicy Bitter gourd(Bitter melon) Curry(కాకరకాయ పులుసు,బెల్లం  పెట్టిన కూర ) My mother and mother in law also experts in making this curry.This curry is commonly made in all Andhra vaishnavaite and brahmin homes.Because this is no onion and no garlic recipe. I love Puffed rice.It is a quick and easily digestive snack for children and adults also.Today i tried this sweet version of Puffed rice.I tasted sweet flavored popcorns in different places.I thought why don't we try with puffed rice.This is the result.

Sambar (A Tangy and Sweet Vegetable and lentil stew with seasoning)

Sambar  is a regular side dish in all South Indian homes.This is a Tangy and Spicy cooked Dal(lentil) and vegetable stew.It is  eaten with piping hot Idlies (steamed dumplings),Dosa(dal base crapes) and Vada(dal base fried in oil) and rice etc. Steps for making Sambar: 1. We have to cook dal.(lentil) 2.We have to cook vegetables 3. We have to prepare Sambar masala(Ready to use Sambar Powder we will get in Indian markets or any indian grocery stores) Usually i like to prepare in home.

It is an all time favorite for everyone. Generally these Idlies are  served with spicy Idly podi (mixture of blended dry spices) served with melted Ghee or gingely oil, mildly spiced coconut chutney and Sambar (vegetable lentil soup).  Black gram and Idly(boiled rice) rawa(powdered rice) is used to make the Idli. However, in some parts of south India, Idly(steamed) rice is used instead of Idly(boiled) rice rawa. The rice is soaked in water beforehand and ground well. I have used the Idly(boiled rice) rawa in my recipe for making Idlies.  Black gram usually has a black colored skin. The de-skinned variety of black gram is available in the market which is

Banana's are easily available fruits.We know this fruit is a great source of energy and healthy.Here in this smoothie i used Glucose Phazham or Amruthapani or Rasthali .This banana itself taste like glucose.This is very simple and healthy juice and quite filling also.

This Chutney is served with all time favorite Savories or break fast recipes like Idly,Vada,Dosa and Upma etc. My sons used to call this chutney white coconut chutney,because of this color.It is a very good accompanist to all Indian savory  recipes.it is very easy to make.

Beautiful Island Bali,Indonesia

Bali is a beautiful Island in Indonesia.My husband was invited for a conferences in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, some time ago..I visited this beautiful and enchanting place along with him.We can see here old Hindu Temples with beautiful carvings.When my husband was busy in his conference presentations, I went on roaming around the place and  captured some of the moments on a small mobile phone camera. The town of Ubud has internationally renowned agricultural university> Besides the collegiate campuses, Ubud had thousands of temples and hundreds of small little shops of handicrafts and handlooms of various hues and intricacies. I found that small town was dotted with many Balenese Dance Schools, where several beautiful girls practiced and performed Bali Dance. The temples happened to be their auditoria and temple priests, the patrons of the artisits. I was impressed by the architecture and sculptures at these temples and the beuatiful carvings at the entrances of the temples. Wh

Today I'm in the mood to make a fresh and healthy juice and I'v tried this healthy juice. In this juice I'v used rock sugar crystals(kalakanda or mishri or patika bellam,or panakara kandu). We can also use honey instead.Rock sugar or honey is a healthy substitutes for normal sugar.

Chilli Paneer (Spicy Cottage cheese)

 Today i am going to post Simple and tasty Chilli Paneer (Spicy Cottage Cheese). Ingredients: Paneer (cottage cheese)           200g (here i used local Indian brand Amul Paneer) Onion                                       1 big (cut into small dices) Green Capsicum                       1(cut into small pieces) Green chillies                            2(cut into small pieces) Chilli sauce                               2 table spoons Tomato sauce                          1 cup salt                                          1/2 tea spoon garlic                                       3 cloves(cut into small pieces) Mint and spring onions             little(for topping) vegetable oil                            1 table spoon Method: Heat Oil in a Pan add paneer (Cottage cheese) in it and shallow fry in a medium flame for 1 min. till it turn in to golden color. Halong Bay On one of my husband's official visit in Vietnam 2008 and 2009, I went there along with him. We lived for a few months in Ho chi Minh City. I visited many places in Vietnam. I would like to share some of my beautiful pictures. Today  I would like to start with my favorite place and world Heritage centre  Halong Bay.   This is one of the world's natural wonders.It features thousands of awesome  lime stone karsts   and various sizes of islands. We reached Hanoi  from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). From Hanoi  airport we have taken a rental car and reached Halong City. Boiled Noodles topped with Sauted Vegetable

Today I am posting simple and healthy recipe Noodles topped with Sauted vegetables. Here I used Knor snoopy noodles 250g pak. Ingedients: Nooddles                  250g Water                       500g Red Bell pepper          1 Yellow Bell pepper     1 Green Capsicum          1 Onion                          1 Tomato                        1 Carrot                          1 small (grated) Cabbage leaves           3 Lime juice                    1/2 lemon Ginger                        a small piece cut into long dices Tomato ketchup        1 table spoon Salt                           1 tea spoon Pepper                      1 tea spoon Sesame oil                 1 tea spoon Method: Cut all vegetable into long pieces. Heat Kadai or Pan add Sesame oil, after oil heats add onions,green chillies and ginger in a high flame saute well.Turn heat in to medium flame. Now add remaining vegetables and mix well then add tomato ketchup,salt and pepper saute well

Andhra style Spicy Coconut Chutney(Kobbari Pahadi)(కొబ్బరి పచ్చడి ) Ingredients: Coconut                  1/2 coconut (grate nicely with coconut grater or in mixer grinder)  whole red chillies     4 +1 (1 is for seasoning) Black gram                1 table spoon Bengal gram               1 table spoon Cumin                       1 table spoon Fenugreek seeds        1 tea spoon Tamarind                   50g Salt                          1 tea spoon full Vegetable Oil            50g (Sugar                       1 tea spoon optional) Turmeric                   1/2 tea spoon water                       1/2 cup Seasoning: Mustard seeds               1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds                     1/2 tea spoon Asafoteda                        little  5g vegetable oil                    1 table spoon Method: Heat oil in a pan add black gram and bengal gram fry 2 min. Simple and  healthy curry.  Microwave Spinach and Tomato curry or Palak,Tomatar ki subji: Ingredients: Spinach (Palak)          1  cup Tomato                      2  (cut into small pieces) Onion                         1  ( small cut into small pieces) green chilli                   1  (cut into small pieces) ginger                            small  piece (grate it) Cumin seeds               1   tea spoon Red chilli powder        1   tea spoon Salt                             1 teaspoon Vegetable oil               1 table spoon Sugar                          tea spoon Method: Take vegetable oil in microwave safe bowl; place it in the microwave and set time for 30 sec. After 30 sec add Cumin seeds,green chilli pieces,onion pieces and ginger set time for 1 min.
