Chamadumpa vepudu - Arbi Fry - Taro root Fry - Colocasia Fry

Colocasia (English) or Taro root or Chama Dumpa (Telugu) or Arbi (Hindi) is a root  vegetable.This is commonly grown and eaten in southern and western parts of India. Chama Dumpa Fry and Chama Dumpa Pulusu (tangy and sweet gravy based curry) are the two commonly made dishes in all Andhra homes. Today's my recipe is a simple but very tasty one - the Chama Dumpa Fry (Taro Fry), which you will all enjoy making and also dining. Colocasia or Chama Dumpa or Arbi   - 250g vegetable oil                                       - 2 table spoons Salt                                                    - 1 table spoon Red chilli powder                               - 1 table spoon Jeera powder                                     - 1 tea spoon Method: Clean Colocasia well in running tap water. Take 500 ml of clean water in a big vessel add Colocasia and cook in medium for 5 to 6 min. till this tuber has to cook well and to become soft,then switch of the flame.Drain out water from

Avakaya is very popular Mango Pickle delicacy from Andhra Pradesh. In India Summer seasonal fruit is Mango. Almost all parts of India busy in making different types of pickles with raw mangoes in summer season.Today's my post is one of the most popular pickle from southern part of India. Main ingredients for this pickle are Mustard seeds,best  Raw Mangoes,Good Chilli Powder,Nice gingely oil and Salt. Todays my recipe is famous Andhra delicacy:  Avakaya - Mango Pickle Ingredients: Raw Mangoes             11/2 kg. Red Chilli powder         150g Mustard powder           150g Salt                               120g Gingely oil                     500g  Fenugreek seeds           1 tea spoon Asafoeteda                    1 tea spoon  Method: Clean Raw Mangoes and cut into small medium pieces.(Here mangoes has to cut with inside the seed,but it is little difficult task,but in India we will get helpers.) Sunnundalu - Andhra Traditional Sweet(Blackgram lentil Sweet Laddoo )

Hi  my dear blogger friends I am unable to post my recipe from last 10 days.For a short period we went to our native place and back to our home.Today's my post is one of our family Traditional Sweet. Sunnundalu Sweet is a very popular delicacy from Andhra Pradesh,India. I learn this from my Ammamma (maternal grand mother).Often she used to make this sweet in our exams times.This sweet considered to be the highly nutritious.This sweet is specially good for children.We can make this sweet with Sugar or Jaggery. Here i made with sugar. Ingredients: Black gram           1 cup(whole Black gram looks in black in color,after removing skin it looks white in color) Sugar                   1 cup Pure Ghee            1/3 cup Method: Fry lentil in  non stick pan in a medium flame for 4 to 5 min till lentils turn into golden brown color and nice aroma comes from this  lentils. Red Guava juice and Awards

One of our friends are given these lovely pinkish red guava fruits. I prepared this fruit juice with these  wonderful fruits. Ingredients: Guava (red color pulpy one)      2 Cold water                                1 cup Sugar                                        1/2 cup Method: Remove the skin and seeds of guava and make it pieces Take these pieces in blender,add sugar cold water and blend well Strain  with juice strainer and serve chilled.
