Mysore Pak is Sweet Fudge made with Chickpea flour, Clarified butter and Sugar. This sweet is usually very popular in most South Indian homes.
Deepavali (Festival of lights ) is an important festival for Hindus in India. This year Deepavali is on 26th of October '11. I'v started my preparation of Deepavali Sweet with Mysore Pak.
This being my 100th post I thought to share this wonderful sweet with all my friends. Enjoy.

This being my 100th post I thought to share this wonderful sweet with all my friends. Enjoy.
Ingredients:
- Chickpea flour (Besan) 1 cup
- Ghee(Clarified butter) 2 cups
- Sugar 1 1/2 cups
- Water 1/2 cup
Method:
- Heat Ghee in a sause pan in a medium heat.
- Grease a plate with ghee and keep it aside.
- In the mean while take sugar in a thick bottomed pan, add half cup of water into sugar and mix well in a medium heat and cook in medium flame till bubbles form from sugar solution.
- Now add 1/2 amount of Chickpea flour into sugar solution and half amount of hot Ghee, mix quickly with the ladle and cook in medium flame for 2 to 3 min.
- Now add remaining amount of Chickpea flour and add little little amount of Ghee and mix again fast with the ladle and cook till ghee has dissolved completely into this mix and when mixture starts leaving edges and looks a bit dry, in this moment pour this mixture into greased plate spread nicely with knife.
- Wait for few min to spread this Mysore Pak mix then cut into small shapes.
- After they become cool remove each piece carefully keep it aside.
- Store them into airtight container.
